Man born mute receives his speech!    

In the Fall of 1999, I was able to participate in two weeks of evangelistic crusades in the villages surrounding Kakamega, Kenya.  Jimmy and Deborah Caneup from Liberty Tabernacle in Dunlap, Tennessee and I joined forces with the HEMS Foundation team of Kakamega to minister to the lost and oppressed.  During the crusades, we felt like we were living in the Book of Acts, as at least 700 raised their hands to receive Jesus as their personal Savior, and many, many people received miracles of healing in their bodies!  I saw demons cast out publicly and as the picture above attests, we saw a man born mute receive his speech!  His mother was in the crowd and confirmed that he had never previously spoken!  It was AWESOME to see the expressions on his face as he spoke through the microphone for the first time!

The brethren of the HEMS Foundation are very deep, dedicated Christians who are making a difference in their country.   Currently, they are in need of finances to help support the pastors and leaders and to help build new churches for the people they have reached.  As many of you know, Kenya is a very poor country and since jobs are scarce, outside help is very beneficial to the spreading of the gospel.  So, please stand with us for this work in Kenya through your prayers and, if the Lord puts it in your heart, your tax-deductible donations would be greatly appreciated.  Please make any donations payable to the address below.   Thank you!
